How can I (cheaply) finish off my digital DJ setup?
I recently bought a hercules dj control mp3 e2, which I will be using with Virtual DJ 6.0. I would like to be able to use headphones to cue up/preview/whatever the next track while one is playing on the master output (through speakers), but my laptop soundcard does not support this. So what I need to know is, how can I set this up, and how much is it going to cost me?

Thanks in advance! Let me know if I’m being too vague/need more details etc

Jesus Christ how did you type all that crap out?

And just recently I started to read a lot, and started to appreciate it a lot more thanks to my girlfriend. She reads a LOT. So I got a couple books I thought I’d be interested in, and I’m starting to really like it.

So far my favorites are:

1.) The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
2.) The Shining by Stephen King
3.) Diary by Chuck Palahniuk
4.) 7 Steps To Midnight by Richard Matheson (I really recommend this to anyone who likes thrillers and suspense novels)

And right now I’m trying to finish Rant and Haunted both by Chuck Palahniuk.

Did you read Edgar Rice Burroughs, Dame Agatha Christie, Robert Louis Stevenson, that lady who writes about the siamese cat?
I’ve read a pile of Sci-fi that would make you sick.
all of Louis L’Amour and Zane Grey too
The entire collection of plays and poems by Bill Shakespeare as well. (That took quite a bit) and some early English epic poems by Chaucer (the Green Knight)

Should We Deport ALL Afghans & Somalis In Light Of What They're Doing?
Hello.

Of late,I am sure we have all seen our finest and dedicated military personnel in action in Afghanistan many of whom have lost their lives in the line of duty to protect this my country known as the UK. These finest examples of our bravest of men and women are being led from the back by donkeys of which Gordon (Clueless) Brown is the chief ass (hole).

By contrast, two UK citizens have been abducted and kidnapped by Somalis who are holding them hostage and will only release them after a ransom is paid.

I am red with rage as to how this pathetic, banal and totally useless government under Gordon Clueless still allows these disgusting people known as Afghans and Somalis the right of freedom in the UK to go about their daily lives whilst many of their fellow compatriots are allowed to kill, maime, kidnap and torture British citizens?

I believe ALL Afghans and Somalis anywhere in the UK no matter how long they’ve lived here should automatically be deported back to their country of origin by the boatload until not one of these disgusting people are left in the UK.Only then would we be in a position of power to win the so-called ‘war’ in Afghanistan and stop kidnapping, raping, torture etc of British citizens in Somalia.

My Dad and my Grandad who both fought for British freedom in WW1 and WW2 would turn in their graves if they were alive now to see the awful state of this country under Blair Witch and Brown The Clueless.

Do you agree or disagree?

Big L 266
There is nothing racist in my views at all. I am trying to expand the point that these two races love killing British people. So why do we have them in our country if their fellow countrypeople wish to indulge in these activities? Whats Hiroshima and apartheid got to do with the question? Nothing!

It is not racist to say that any Somali’s,Iraqi’s ot Afghans who do not and will not conform to the laws of Britain and plan, plot the overthrow of the legitimate government and conspire to kill and or maim our brave military boys and girls, deserve to be extradited back to their country of origin.
Another tricky question I have to put into the arena for debate is this.
Why are Abu Hamza and Abu Quatara still allowed to remain in this country when they first of all lied to get into Britain and then openly encouraged ethnic minorities to commit outrages of violence against individuals and the State.
No!The country is far better off without harbouring these sort of individuals and allowing them to exploit the laws of the land.
The best act we as a nation can do is extradite them to a country of their choosing or countries that request their extradition.Such as America and Jordan in these cases.

robert c | Nov 21, 2009

no no no….you need to be deported for yor racist veiws….

example….if you take a college class with 75 people in it, and 3 students cause problems like interupting the teacher, or throwing paper planes at eachother, and eventually get in trouble for it….is the whole class of students deemed disruptive because of a few students that are?….absolutly not…you cant judge a group of people by a couple of bad apples in the group!
daniel_dubv | Nov 21, 2009

Way to lump a whole lot of people together. Should we deport all Americans for Guantanamo bay, Hiroshima, My Lai or any one of a number of reasons. Shall we deport all white South Africans for Apartheid and the racism in existence now to black people? Shall we deport every Chinese person obver Tibet and umpteen atrociites and terrible treatment of animals? Shall we kill all doctors incase they are all like Harold Shipman?

Extreme anger is usually a result of your own distorted thoughts and not reality.
Taf | Nov 21, 2009

toss em in the ocean
Yakov Smirnov | Nov 21, 2009

In view that the Afghans can’t be trusted and the Somali government allows its citizens to kidnap mariners they should be refused aid or asylum. Somalia should have its infra-structure bombed to pieces forcing them to sort out their own criminals. Better still bomb their prisons where the captured pirates are kept. They all need executed, the British navy should be hunting them down, the US navy seals should be exercising extreme prejudice against them
Wired up | Nov 21, 2009

This is irrational rant.

Are you suggesting that all Somalis in this country are dangerous criminals? Or that all Afghan refugees in this country are terrorists?

Or do you believe, as the Nazis did, in guilt by association, nationality amounting to association?

However, it’s certainly time for a Special Forces operation, and to follow this up by declaring the waters immediately bordering Somali territorial waters an exclusion zone, in which coastal craft of Somali provenance will simply be treated as armed enemy, and sunk.

And as to Afghanistan, it’s time we pulled out, and put Blair on trial for sending British soldiers there in the first place.
Celia H | Nov 21, 2009

Your countrymen, rob, rape, kill, mug, steal, and so on, should you go to prison?
Being an innocent person.
your red rage is stopping you from thinking clearly.
What are you really angry about?
I wish you well. Terry.
terrysains | Nov 21, 2009

The Afghans and Somalis who are living in the UK did not kidnap the British couple, so why should we deport them? However, I agree that the War in Afghanistan has been a total disaster. A terrible waste of human life.

How does it feel when you step on a nail?
Has anyone of you ever stepped on a nail? Were you able to walk afterwards? How was your would treated? Did you have to stay in bed for a while after this accident? Thanks for your answers…

It hurts, and your foot hurts afterwards. You can walk around, but it is hurtful. However, there have been times when I stepped on a nail and it was not that big a deal. Must depend on how deep it goes.

I stepped on a nail, then pulled it out again. It hurt but I got over it. A couple of weeks later it happened again, and I just pulled it out again! Once someone asked me to pull a nail out of their foot when they stepped on it, that, I did not do! Yeah it hurts, but it’s not that bad. Deflated lung and bruised ribs hurts quite a bit more!

It feels a lot like stepping on a sharp piece of metal, I’d imagine.

Probably not plesant, but not really fatal. Make sure you had your tetanus shot recently, and you’ll be fine. It’ll just hurt. But it’ll seal up quick, and probably just feel a little weird.

A piercing wound is better than a slashing one, specially like that. It heals much quicker, and it’s not as big an area.

I felt a wave of goosebumps at the beginning and then slowly to numbness and then pain. It was painful to watch a nail pierced through my sole so I can someone to help me plug out. That was an experience and I never want it to happen again ;(

I’ve not actually stepped onto one, but the closest I achieved was to a bloody cocktail still in the sand on a beach in the Maldives, and it hurt.

I had to be treated for a whole span of possible infections (not pleasant) by a Doctor who wore a sarong. He was there, Free of charge, on a Diving holiday, and was paid in-kind through his work as a Doctor ~ treating all kinds of ailments to everyone staying at the island resort.

He wore the sarong to let the wounds on his legs heal ~ from scrapes and cuts from contact with the coral ~ of which he maybe had 3 dozen! (you are NOT supposed to come into any contact with the coral, as human contact kills it).

I limped about the place a bit (an island) for nearly 2 weeks. But I got off lightly, it could have been a whole lot worse.

Sash.

It hurts but I have stepped on many nails . I treated it by soaking it and then put Iodine and a band aid on it .

fashion emergency! please help :) ?
i’ve just bought my prom dress for November and i don’t know whether to wear black tights as the dress is quite short on me would they ruin the look of the dress?

the dress is electric blue, puffball style and has gold zip detail on the bodice, it is strapless and i have high heeled black shoobs and clutch. the dress comes to about half way down my thigh.

HELP ? :)
http://www.newlook.co.uk/1770131/1770131 40/ProductDetails.aspx this is my dress if it helps (the blue one) i bought it about a month ago.

Its hard to tell without actually seeing the dress. I personally do not like to wear tights so i probably would wear the dress without them. But try the dress on with the tights and see what it looks like. If your main forcus of the outfit is on the tights once you have everything on then id say wear it without them. You want people to notice the dress not whats under it.

I like short dresses because i think they are adorable. especially if you have nice legs. Im a little confused on when your prom is, but if its in november you might want to find a nice jacket or cardigan to wear over the dress just on your way to prom so your not as chilly. But if its in the spring dont worry about it. Also you might want to think about this; in the spring/summer its hot out and you want to look more summer ish so id say def no tights but in the fall/winter you might want the tights to complete more of a winter look.

Sorry i threw out a couple of ideas but i kept thinking of things that might help. I hope this helps you decide! have fun

Try on the black tights. It’s worth a try. They most likely won’t ruin it but I haven’t seen the dress

It’s your prom!!ditch the tights!!and flash some leg!
they tend to make stuff look a little casual anyway…
However if you are not very comfortable then go for them tights…
also if your dress tends to ride up go for the tights…or how about some sheer stockings?
just remember to be comfortable cause you probably will be dancing, moving around and stuff :)

The only tights that you should where with that dress (which is lovely by the way… I had a similar colour and style for my ball last year! :D ) is skin coloured. Definitely not black tights! With the other black accessories it will be a little too much!
Trust me, it is not too short. It looks like a great length for a prom.
Wear it with confidence, make sure it won’t fall down when you’re dancing and you will look fab.
Enjoy your prom! :D
